Budding Artists: On-the-spot Painting Workshop

On the occasion of its 101st  FOUNDER’S DAY, Mahatma Khushi Ram Public Library & Reading Room Society, Dehradun, Uttarakhand in association with ARTIFY by Pooja, Gurgaon and IMFPA (Indian Mouth & Foot Painting Artists, Mumbai & Doon) is holding a 2-days On-the-spot Painting Workshop on Saturday, 1st    October and Sunday, 2nd October  2022.

It will be followed by “EXHIBITION & SALE” of the artefacts on its 101st Founder’s Day, ie Tuesday, the 4th  October, 2022 . This Special Workshop is dedicated to the memory of Late Shri C B Narang, Architect & Former President of the Board of Trustees of the Library.

Your co-operation, help and support will go a long way in encouraging and inspiring “Budding Artists of Doon & Uttarakhand” as well as improving n upgrading existing facilities in this more than hundred-year-old temple of Learning, Art & Culture.

MKRP Library is registered U/s 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act as well as with the Registrar of Companies, Govt. of India for receiving Grants from companies under CSR i.e Corporate Social Responsibility.  We request your support   as we will be  providing  (1) Canvas, (2) Acrylic Paints and Water Colours, (3) Boards and rented Easels, (4) Lunch, tea and refreshments for three days, (5)  Transportation for anyone with special needs  and (6) Honorarium  & Certificates. 

This will cost Rs. 5000/- per participant, even if they bring their own paint brushes and we have our own staff and volunteers to supervise and  coordinate the event. As we estimate around 40 artists in this workshop, we will need a minimum of  Rs. 2 Lacs for this event alone. 

We will start registration of Budding Artists from Schools, Colleges, Institutions in Dehradun like FMPA, Cheshire Home,  Bajaj Institute for Deaf & Dumb and the open public once we have Sponsors.

You can sponsor these talented boys and girls by contributing as follows:

• 2 Budding Artists @ INR 10,000
• 10 @ INR 50,000
• 20 @ INR 1 Lac
• Full Workshop @ INR 2 Lacs
